Headphone extension so I can listen to music on the computer?

My computer’s hard drive is on the floor and many times I want to listen to music on the computer. However, the headphone cord isn’t long enough. Is there a type of headphone that has a longer cord or a way to connect using an extension cord?
Names of headphone brands are appreciated. Thanks!

I had the same problem…went to a RadioShak store and got an extension made just for this situation. It had a plug in hole at one end and a plugger-in thing at the other, so you can attach it to your existing headphone cord and not have to lie on the floor to listen to tunes!

i agree with the person above me,
also, you can get headphones with a long cord, which radio shack carries, also. :]

You can get “3.5mm Mini Plug extension cord” for a few buck in any local RadioShack, electronicsstore or on the net.
    Here is one for $3.

…also don’t forget that wireless headphones exist too. They look like a thin pyramid which is a radio transmitter and are matched to headphones with a radio receiver, but no cord. You could try that too and be free to move around.
