I have listened to the Jim Cullum Riverwalk Jazz Band at the Landing in San Antonio, TX. on the car radio for years. My wife purchased the Bose over the ear headset for my birthday, I now listen to the Riverwalk Jazz band off the computer and could not be more satisfied.(we also have the Wave Radio/CD and also the BOSE Multimedia Pedestal for the radio at home)

I have had these headphones for about 2 years now, The sound they put out is respectable (not the best for the price) and the lightweight feel was definitely a plus. After about a year of regular but not consistent use I noticed plastic beginning to chip off the black circular part on the ear-cup. At this point I was worried how much longer they would hold up, so I began to be much gentler with them. After another year a short finally developed on the left side. I attempted to fix them without success, however while dissembling them I really took notice to actually how over priced and poorly constructed these are.

I now own a pair of Grado SR80's and a pair of Sony MDR-XB700's both were significantly cheaper and have much better sound quality and construction.

I liked these headphones so much I bought a second pair after my first broke. (plastic holding ear pad broke) The headphone jack broke on the second pair broke. Yes, they are comfortable, light weight, good bass, but gotta mark it down given the poor build quality. Also, at this price range they are bested by other products such as Audio Technica ATH-A700 Headphones.

I truly love the sound to these. They are terrible for travel. If you have a desktop computer and want to listen to movies or music, they are great. But if you travel and need to listen to an Ipod, Zune or laptop, I would highly recommend something else.

Read the reviews, and while in area purchased these headphones at a
Bose Factory Store. I objected to the $139 list price, since this was in an outlet mall and I expected a cost break, but they wouldn't come down, but offered me a factory reconditioned set w a full factory warranty for $119. I bought a set. More than likely, the ones I bought probably just had a damaged carton--if they come back, cannot be sold as new by federal law. I must say--best sound I have ever heard, and I have some really expensive and costly audio gear. I listened to some of my favorite CD's--mostly big band jazz, and really--picked up sounds I had never heard before. I am really amazed. Most heartedly recommend. By the way--you can always pick up bargains this way--factory reconditioned--on almost everything. Anything that is returned to the factory or distributor, for any reason (torn, opened or damaged carton, for example) cannot be sold as new under federal law. They're sold as factory reconditioned, and most probably have never been used or even out of the original factory seal.
